Piranha Golf has completed and delivered six individually specific golf sets to up and coming male players on the Australian Pro-Am circuit and we are pleased to advise that David Williams achieved a first tour victory in the Numurkah Pro Am (September 2009). On the “long-drive” front, Mark Bylsma secured victory in the 2009 Australian Long Drive Championships.
We have also made and delivered a new set of highly specified blades to Cortney Reno for testing and we are delighted to report that Cortney “...loves the clubs and can’t wait to put them to use in competition”. At her first outing with her new clubs, she ran third in a Southwest Airlines scramble event on September 22, 2009. Cortney, a former "Player of the Year" on the Canadian Women's Tour (2005) after posting one victory and leading the money list, is hoping to play a variety of professional events in the USA during 2010.
Amanda Mathis, who posted a second place in the Duramed 2009 Turkey Hill Classic (Harrisburg, PA) in August 2009, has agreed to test Piranha Golf clubs in expectation of using them on the 2010 Tour.
Piranha Golf will typically concentrate on hard-working and talented golfers, usually from grass-roots level, because of our belief that these players deserve to have access to premium golf equipment so that they too can reach their playing potential. Our philosophy is very simple; we want tour players' careers to grow, commensurate with Piranha Golf's own growth in its chosen markets. We also understand that when starting out, having access to high quality golf equipment usually presents as a quite challenging obstacle for rookies.
